SO ii've got a wallet full of cards, and i've found taht my ID, gift cards and credit cards have been getting a lot of scratches over them. They are like etching where it isn't deep, but the scratches coover the surface. Does anyone else have this, or is it jsut that i keep my wallet in my back pocket and the wallet is shifting slightly all the time? I ask this for i don't want to have to replace some of my cards.

thanks

I have noticed this as well.
I carry my wallet in my pocket and ALL of my cards have scratches on them. I think its from the card rubbing against each other rather than from the wallet itself.
I have had to replace my debit card twice in the last year ,and two of my CC's because of the scratches.

If you find a solution, lemme know, because I (and I suspect a lot of other people) have the same problem.

Biggest pain is when that little 3-digit identifier on the back of my debit card wears off. You need that a lot of times when ordering on-line.

I put my cards in the little clear protection covers for PCMCIA cards.

Keeps 'em clean and scratch free

My debit card has someone gained a massive crack down it, which thankfully just misses the chip (and i do mean just) . I'd get it replaced, but it still seems to keep working and I don't want to have to memorize new numbers and have to re-assign another card to my mobile phone.

I'm used to having scratched cards, but the only thing that seems to get scratched off them is my signature

Interesting. I've never had that prob. Makes me curious what kind(s) of wallets are being used and how full they are? I keep mine pretty streamlined with 4 Credit Cards, Drivers License, and a couple of Frequent Flyer Cards, but the rest I carry in another leather travel bag when on the move.

I end up writing it with a sharpie on on another part of my card. The problem is where they print it. A lot of card swipes will just tear that part of the card up. The biggest offenders I noticed are gas station. My credit card which is mainly use to fill up my car is pretty well chewed up right there. While my Check card with is used to pay for almost everything else and is use more often looks in relative good shape on the back.
