For aught that I could ever read,
Could ever hear by tale or history
The course of true love never did run smooth...

I'm not one to give sage advice, but I think you need a clean break from the ex. She ain't the one for ye. The last time I saw this many red flags was at a convention of communist nations.?

For every Jack there is a Jill.
If one won't have him another will.

right i will do that thank you.

Think of these words and you will get an answer:

“Stop trying to change someone who does not want to change.
Stop giving chances to someone who abuses your forgiveness.
Stop walking back to the place where your heart ran from.
Stop trusting their words and ignoring their actions.
Stop breaking your own heart.”

(Trent Shelton)

Follow your own route without anyone in your mind.
Life (including women who deserve your feelings) is ahead of you.

Run as fast and as far away as possible. You are young and have time on your side. What's the rush?
At your age, or any age for that matter, if you're even giving thought to getting married, or considering marrying someone that you already have a pretty good idea is going to make your life miserable, run and don't look back. Wow. S

If you are in a relationship and being with them makes you less of a person. That is a bad relationship.

That mother in law will make your life miserable. Until she's six feet under. Because the daughter is a momma's girl and will always take her side. She's already controlling where you will live and go to college. That should be enough of a wake up call to GTFO. Do you think she won't meddle in how you raise your kids, spend your holidays or choose a career?

A mother in law problem isn't the mother in law, it's the spouse. As the spouse isn't willing to kick their mother out of the relationship.

That's no the only red flag. But the biggest to warn you. You'll be in for a world of hurt if you marry her.

As for a career. Choose what you want. A doctor and IT are totally separate fields. Think about which one you are more passionate about. Both pay well. They can both pay extremely well depending on the career moves you make, start a good business, become partners in the right practice/firm. In general work a doctor will earn more per year. But will also start off with a lot more debt and start off way later in life.

Although I wouldn't make either choice on money. Both will give you a comfortable enough living. But you'll hate life if you go only for money and end up hating the job. So, take time to read up on the various jobs in each area. Pay attention to the parts you'll hate. Don't just think you'll get used to them.

Take time to reflect. Maybe take an MBTI test. To see which field better matches your personality type. Just make sure you take the test right. As it's only as relevant to you as you are capable of self reflection to give accurate answers about yourself.

Yup, but easier said than done. Emotions always win over logic.

I don’t know they did that. I figured they only paid if you go to college after your service is up.

With that perk. It actually makes a lot of sense to serve after college. You’ll be better off financially after your service is up then other grads the same age. Than you would be if you worked most civilian jobs and tried to pay the loans off yourself.

Plus most employers love to see military service.

Thee only thing wrong is didn't tell us we had to pay taxes on Government paying my student loans (Actually had to stay run at least 5 years but as in Satcom I actually did 6 years)! However the tax thing triggered a IRS audit that was harder than the a root canal in end, especially in Army with a clearence!
