Careers in ICT?

I'm studying Accountancy and Tax at university level and the work is quite interesting and I'm doing pretty well. Last years module test I got 98%.. So I'm not running from it for any reason along those lines. But when I get home I spend a lot of time keeping up with tech and computers etc and it's made me wonder what sort of prospects are out there, particularly in the UK, for someone with a degree in Business/Accountancy to go on and do some sort of ICT work? I'm thinking in-house tech support and along those lines. The money might not compare as well but as long as I make reasonable money that's all that matters.

Interested to hear what some of you do in the field of computers and work and what sort of educational background or training made it possible?
