Just a quick question. Have a Pioneer NEX receiver installed in my 2013 F150 5.0. Carplay running of course, love it.
That said, I'd like to get a tuner for the truck and have looked at the ITSX SCT tuner which allows OBDII communication, flashing, and live tuning/monitoring via the OBDII port with a bluetooth connection to the truck. I have considered getting this so that I can literally use the iPhone for everything.
Question is. IF I have the phone plugged into and running CarPlay through the lightening connection, would you still be able to use the SCT tuner for monitoring, etc. through the bluetooth connection or would I lose Carplay function? I know that CarPlay uses lightening for communication with the heading (and no wireless carplay with Pioneer due to no wireless chip in the headunit).
Anyone know?
