The Dev4 iOS26 has removed the all-black wallpaper. I preferred that to be the default regardless of night or day. I thought it looked best on the black surround of the infotainment system. I did find a work around. While in CarPlay go to Settings>Wallpaper>Select the All White wallpaper, then to Settings>Appearance>Always Dark, plus toggle OFF Always Show Dark Maps.

This restores an all-black background on the Home page while allows maps to toggle to light and dark modes as determined by your vehicle's light sensor.

It was still there for me when I was in the car an hour ago, looking at the different wallpapers.

The only solid color wallpapers I see when Appearance is set to Automatic is White, Light Blue, and Beige. Black appears when I change Appearance to Always Dark.
