CarPlay CarPlay and Iphone Shortcuts

Could sure use some help here. I have a iPhone shortcut that when I say "CONTROL TOWER", it plays a URL audio stream. However, when the phone is paired with the car's CARPLAY it responds by saying there isn't a shortcut with that name. As soon as I kill the pairing, it works perfectly. HELPPPP!!!!!!
