Had carplay for a couple of weeks. I have a VW GTi 2017 which came with carplay. When I initially connected my phone, the carplay showed the stock apple apps, the VW car app and then 4 apps on my phone which are obviously carplay compatible. They were MLB, NBA, Overcast and TuneIn. With the stock apps and the VW app, there are only 2 spare spots on the front page of the screen. The default setting is obviously alphabetical so I had MLB and NBA filling the two available spots on the front screen with Overcast and TuneIn on the second screen.

I am going to use Overcast and TuneIn alot more than MLB/NBA so I want them on the front screen. I found the location for change the layout of the screen, under general/carplay in the iphone settings. So I adjusted things so that Overcast/TuneIn were on the front screen with MLB/NBA on the second screen and changed the layout of the stock apps so they were more to my liking. This change was transferred to the screen in the car. But the next day when I connected it had reset to the default screen set up. I have tried to change the set up on several occasions. I have done this with the phone both connected and disconnected from carplay via the USB on the car. Each time the change in set up is shown on the carplay screen but then the next day it resets to default.

Any solutions to this from anyone? Is there a separate setting that I am missing?
