CarPlay CarPlay Apple maps too dark

I have a pioneer nex 4200 with carplay. Using maps during night triggers dark mode on maps. Before 13 update it was just right, was able to see details surroundin my route. After update it seems too dark. I’m only seeing the route but cannot see the other roads. Is there way to disable dark mode just for maps?

There’s a Settings app in CarPlay. If you go to that, it has the option for light, dark or automatic. Pretty sure you can’t itemize specific apps to dark/light mode.

Yeah the night mode is not good, too dark now

I can't stand apple's night mode either, no contrast. Waze has the best night mode.

I have it set so the day\night mode is automatic so changes with the lights going on and off. Lights on my car are automatic so the only time i've had a slight issue with the dark mode is if going under a bridge or through a tunnel makes the lights come on then they take a few moments to go back to off and its sunny on the screen. Other than that i have no issues with how the dark mode looks.

I have the 13.2 beta. the night mode seems to have better contrast. I can actually see roads on the map now.

Cant stand the new night mode...hope this gets fixed!

For those that don't like the new night mode, make sure that you provide some feedback to Apple as well!
