CarPlay help needed badly please!!! Anytime I am listening to SiriusXM or local radio, carplay interrupts every 20-30 seconds as if I'm trying to play something on my phone. This happens when I'm using a maps app or if I have every app closed. Basically, my radio stops, the unit shows it's now connected to CarPlay audio, and then 2 seconds later my radio comes back on. Any recommendations???

Seem here. It does not happen all the time, but it’s quite annoying when it does. I recently started using Apple Music, so first I thought somehow it’s connected to it. But at this point not sure. While I was using only YouTube music, I did not have this.

I have noticed this specific behavior, just the regular one where if I use my phone and there is any audio or something related, it’ll automatically switch input to CarPlay.

I've had this happen has well but it's sporadic. Listening to SiriusXM and triggering Siri will cause the audio to change to "No source". 2022 BMW G80

Well…I found the answer. It was an App on my phone causing it -Bria.

It’s a corporate phone program for voip. Once I deleted the app, the issue was gone.

I am also having this problem. 2017 Jeep Compass.

Any time I switch apps on my phone it switches to the phone as a source. If my iPhone is plugged in to the USB on the car, and I'm listening to Sirius (I think it happens listening to FM radio as well), and I open or re-open an app on my iPhone, it switches the audio source. It's so annoying. I just got this car so I don't know if it's something in the car radio or the phone. I don't have the Bria app so it can't be that.

I've also noticed that if I am in an app and listening to Sirius on CarPlay, and I enter text input mode then it will switch as well.

Any other ideas what it might be?
