I’m having issues when connected to CarPlay. The phone connects and the radio turn itself off. If you try to play Apple Music the phone immediately disconnects as soon as you touch the play button. Apple says they are aware of this issue. Next problem my phone and my wife’s phone display an error message when trying to make a call. It says. Last line no longer available. I’m also having problems connecting my Apple Watch.

Turn off EQ
Settings —> Music —> EQ —> off

if that doesn’t work. General —> Reset —> Reset all settings.

I'm assuming this has nothing to do with CarPlay? I got the same message after I have transitioned from a physical SIM to an eSIM. I elected to use the 'remaining' line and all was well. I haven't seen the message since.

Not sure what eSIM is

Then I would expect some fix in an upcoming update. If you can't make it work, just leave the phone disconnected from the car unit and play over bluetooth.
I was on the phone with Apple all day yesterday. They said they are aware of this issue. Seems to be only iPhone pro max. My wife’s phone is just a 13 pro and works fine.

I knew there was something going on with it. It was so annoying that the only thing I could do was stream Bluetooth. Ugh hopefully they fix it soon

Just as a data point, my 13 ProMax (AT&T, eSIM) works just fine with CarPlay.

I have the exact same one too. I was going thru YouTube yesterday and someone said a temporary fix would be to get a shorter iPhone cable since apparently the iPhone is drawing more lower than can be produced I think. Idk

My wife got the “last line” message on her iPhone 13 Pro today. Not connected to CarPlay at the time. Also just using a regular SIM card as far as I know. AT&T activated phone purchased through Apple.
