I have a recently purchased new Chevy Volt with Carplay. After using it for 4 months I fine the software quirky. Quirky in that half the time when trying to skip songs in a playlist it is extremely difficult because carplay has a significant lag from the time I press the skip forward icon on my car's screen to when the track is actually skipped....like 15 seconds or more. And this is hit or miss. I contact chevy and they said I was on the most current version of my car's OS.
Also, when invoking Siri, it sometime just hangs and she doesn't respond at all. WTF is that?

In addition, the inability to add apps to carplay is crazy. I have Waze and Google Maps on my iphone but carplay won't allow it. Really? I get that they are competitors but, hell, the apps are already on my phone.

And, unfortunately, I upgraded to 11.2.6 so I cannot jailbreak the phone at this time to do what I want.
I hope Apple fixes this product's performance otherwise it is more hassle than it worth.

Have you rebooted the car's infotainment system?
