Warning. I enabled this as a test, and my CarPlay went black, and I can’t see anything despite it being connected. There is no way to undo it from my phone.

I have tried removing the device, reset Bluetooth, reboot device and radio, reset up CarPlay, nada.

In prior betas it did the same, and I could reset up the device by removing BT etc and it would work, but now it seems to retain the settings and it’s effectively kills CarPlay. Very sad.

reset wifi not bluetooth...but I have this enabled and dont have any issues
Tried this too - does not work. Others online have reported a solution - turning on Accessibility on your iPhone's option to navigate by voice - and blindly go through the options.

Mine went black yesterday when I turned the zoom setting off. I disconnected CarPlay, and when I reconnected it, everything was fine. I was then able to turn the setting back on

I have iOS 26 beta 4. I was curious looking through the settings on CarPlay. I saw a new setting called "Smart Display Zoom", as soon as I toggled that on, it ruined my week.

Here's what I've tried so far.

  1. Unpairing device completely.
  2. Updating Zlink to version 6.0.8 (read on another thread that this has fixed people also experiencing this issue) but once it's installed, my phone nor my wives phone connects.
  3. Going back to Zlink version 5, I tried with hotspot off/ on, WiFi on/off, etc. basic troubleshooting.
  4. I reset my PX6 head unit back to factory settings, issue still persists with both devices.
  5. I tried using other people's vehicles CarPlay to see if that option is something I can turn off. Seems like it was on with 1 vehicle, and that option didn't exist one 2 other vehicles. On the vehicle that had that option, ! turned it off. But when I returned back to my car, issue persist.

Not sure what I should try next, I'm determined to find the answer.

I think updating to Zlink 6 will fix this issue, but this might just be an iOS issue but for some reason when the app is open, it allows me to connect my device, but nothing else occurs after.

I have a radio which uses Zlink too, and I think this is the common denominator. I also spent hours on this and it seems the only solution I found for b4 is to wipe and restore your iPhone back to 18.5...that worked for me.

That said, I did see on Reddit another guy said he tried turning on Accessibility on his iPhone, and there was meant to be some kind of "navigate by voice" option. I assume it's the "Voice Control" settings? Have you tried this? It's worth trying to see hot it works. You might need to tell it to Open Settings, Tap X, Tap Y etc, then Toggle/Tap Z? I'm curious if this works.

I actually figured it out thanks to some dude on Reddit! It worked!
