CarPlay CarPlay with 2 iPhones (USB-C & Lightning)

Guys - I know Carpay is very finicky with cables and I currently use an Apple OEM lightning cable. I'm buying a new phone but spouse still has older iPhone with lightning. Would you suggest buying this Apple adaptor would be the best route or are there better solutions?

I'd get a second cable. If your car has the older USB-A ports, you can get a USB-A to C cable (just make sure its going the proper way, you can get C to A cables also), fewer connections to fail, and the extra stuff at the end of the cable would annoy me.

if you have 2 USB ports, you should be able to leave them both plugged in.
