Carrier logo only working in app

Installed the PAC man logo worked fine first time..it was appearing in lock screen and everywhere else...I restored back to original and then tried 2 different ones and now it's only appearing when not on my home spring board screen when i open any app it immediately appears...anybody have issues regarding this? Or is this how it's supposed to be I'm confused...thanks in advance!

yes i did..and now i changed my carrier number from 13.0 to 13.2 and its all screwed up now..its flashing the android icon and then going to the packman..still only visible in apps and not on home screen..when home screen comes back at&T comes right back as well...any help on how i can get my regulr carrier number back to normal??
