carrier problem !!!

yesterday i upgraded my iPhone 3gs to ios 5.01 and jail broke it using redsn0w. everything works fine but the only problem is i cant get my carrier. i can see it in the setting but not in the top most bar.

i am on baseband 5.14.02, so is this the problem ??
