Carrot widget not updating

Is anyone else having a problem with the Carrot widget on your iPhone not updating? If I use the widget to open the Carrot app the widet will update when I close the app. I am on the current operating system, iPhone 11 Pro, and current Carrot app version. I have allowed updating in background and location to "always." Any idea? Thanks!

I have the same problem. Have tried reinstalling Carrot, but didn’t help unfortunately.

Logged a bug report and the developer is aware and providing updates on Reddit.
