I was about to rant about the annoyances of the new Apple TV Remote but then I ordered this...

Elago R2 Slim case in black Link to Amazon.co.uk

Does anyone else have a case for their remote? My gripes are that its so slippy that it slips off the arm of the couch and disappears down the side all the time and the edges just feel uncomfortably sharp.

I have the elago r5, it's similar to yors, but has a spot for an AirTag in the back.

it makes the remote bigger so it's harder to slip between the cushions, and being able to make it ring really helps to find it when it's buried in the blanket, or got carried to the kitchen by accident.

I just wish it had a small dent or texture of some kind on the back, so it was harder to hold the remote the wrong way.

If you have leather furniture, a case comes in real handy as I find the remote will slide all over the place on leather without a silicone case.

I have bought a few dozen ATV's since the first day, both for work and play.

I have ALWAYS bought the cheap, brightly colored silicon cases that are all over Amazon for the remotes. And bought many other cases for friends with fiddly naked remote issues, they loved 'em...

So much less fiddly, its like night and day for daily use. IMHO...

I have a SideClick on my Siri Remote. Griffin used to make the best silicone case for the OG Siri Remote. I really miss that case.

So it turned up, I was hoping for better quality. The seam where it was moulded sticks out around the edge, but it didn't cost much and it will solve a few problems so I will keep it. Maybe it will wear down over time.
