I am about to get a new 13" MBP. I cannot decide between a Timbuk2 messenger bag, a Crumpler messenger bag or either a Booq backpack or Booq Nerve case. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? I am looking for a case that has enough pockets to keep all of my stuff in along with space for some files and/or book.

All I can add for you is I bought the Booq Mamba Sling for my GF for her uMB this past Xmas and it is made really well, fits the uMB great and has some nice inner pockets for her work folders and whatnot. Not sure about the others but if the other Booqs are made alike, I wouldn't think twice about getting one.
Hope that helps a bit.

They are all good brands. Get the one that makes YOU happy and suits YOUR needs. We all have different needs when it comes to cases.

I would say different categories of bags. The Timbuk2 bags are great bags, I'm not sure they are necessarily built to protect a notebook, whereas Booq bags are definitely built with that as the main purpose. I adore my Booq bag.

I would go with either a Booq or Crumpler. I don't have a Crumpler notebook bag but I do for a camera bag and love it.

I've been eyeing the timbuk2 commute 2.0 bag. I'm going to get it when I return to school this fall.

I just got this same bag for my uMBP. It is a really nice bag. My uMBP barely fits in side, which I really like. I didn't want any room for it to slide around.

A lot of my friends use booq and love them. I think they look great and they seem to be well made. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

BTW...I found my Timbuk2 on sale at REI for $35. I have also seem them at Marshalls and TJ Maxx for real cheap too. I don't know if you live in the US or not. If you don't the last two stores won't do you any good.

I just have a Tom Bihn sleeve I put in my Jansport backpack or whatever bag I am using. That said my sister has a Booq case and I have been very impressed my the quality of their stuff. I would vote for the Booq, although Tom Bihn and Crumpler also make nice backpacks. It depends on how much protection and how much you want to spend to keep your computer safe.
