Being a case addict, I usually buy 10-20 cases for each of my iPhones every year. I figured with the new iPhone 11 Pro, I’d start reviewing them. So here is the first one, the black Speck Presidio Pro for iPhone 11 Pro.
Appearance: the case has a matte finish that doesn’t show typical fingerprints a whole lot. If you have dirty or greasy hands, it may show on the case. Overall, the black version of the case has a very stealthy and understated look. I personally like it and prefer cases like that.
Handling/Feel: this case has a a antibacterial Microban coating fused into the case material. This should be valuable to anyone who is concerned about germs on their phone. The outer coating of the case is very nice. It’s provides good grip, but it isn’t high-tac. It doesn’t slide around on tables either.
Button Function: buttons are a bit more stiff than no case at all. But for being rated for 13 feet of drop protection, I’m willing to accept an increase in button stiffness. I don’t have to use a lot of force at all to activate the button. Overall button tactility is good, not as good as the Mous Limitless series case. But perfectly acceptable in my opinion. Also, I always keep my nails super short and don’t have an issue operating to mute toggle switch.
Size: the case doesn’t really add that much bulk at all. I used it on both my Pro Max and my regular Pro. Neither felt unwieldy in the hand. Again, for having 13-feet of drop protection, this is a slim case for it’s category.
Pocketability: the grippy coating on the entire case doesn’t inhibit pocketability. The case doesn’t collect pocket lint nor does it catch or get stuck in my front or back pockets.
Price: the case is basically $40. Not really that expensive IMO for it’s category of drop protection. After a few months, you can typically find good discounts on amazon.
Colors: comes in 5 different colors. Black, grey, light blue, dark blue, and a coral color.
Durability: so far after a month of using this case on both my Pro Max and Pro, the case is holding up well. The grippy coating that covers the whole case hasn’t rubbed off or scuffed yet. I’m fairly gentle with my phones, even with cases on. I have read that the coating may start to rub off after a year or so of heavy-duty use and abuse.
*I am not sponsored or paid in any way for the review of this case.
