Do you guys use anything for protection or just let it ride? I work in a athlete training facility so odds are I am going to smack the watch on a few weights, and vice versa. I don't want to add a lot of bulk to the watch though but I don't want to scratch it up right away either.

At Most, a screen protector if you have the sport model to protect the dislay. The 7000 series aluminum is fairly durable.

Thanks.

I am pretty sure I am going with the sport model, basically just for the band to be honest. Between the sport and regular, the aluminum is the same, right? I have come across some people saying their sports models are chipping?

Can't be a defect right, just accidental damage?

What you read on a tech forum about the aluminum chipping, it's just those who have issues alone with their Watch. There is no confirmation that all the aluminum models are chipping. I would not be concerned with that in general. Also, even if it were to chip not due to damage, that's what warranties are for.

And there is the sport model, which is offered in aluminum and then the stainless model, followed by the ceramic Edition.
