Hello everyone,

The case of my 4 month old, blackbook is separating around the disk drive side, most likely because I *cough* dropped it *cough* once or twice...

Should I be concerned? I put some duct tape over it to try to hold it together, and to prevent dirt and dust getting in...

Would it be worth returning to apple to get a new one, or to get it fixed?

Cheers.

Eric D.

if its obvious that it was dropped apple wont replace it, they almost didnt replace my aluminum macbook with slanted keys and lose battery cover because they found a tiny little nick on the side and i never even dropped it. they have a pretty keen eye for that, so youre probably gonna be out of some money if you want that fixed

 Why would you even consider putting duct tape on a mac?!?!
Haha if i were you i would probobly take it apart, up to taking the top case off to see if i could get the side of the case back into place.

Mind posting a pic of how bad the damage is? It will help us come up with a better solution than duck tape, that looks nicer too.

For sure,

I'll try and get some pictures up later tonight of it.
