Case to enhance reception?

Was listening to Macbreak weekly while doing yard work and heard something interesting.....

The question was posed if a case company could make a case to take advantage of the external antenna and actually enhance reception. Know I would be very interested in buying one if they made it.

Interesting idea, but I feel like it would lead case manufactures to just put a metal band or something around the inside of the case and claim enhanced reception when really it does nothing at all.
