I've had problems with 3D touch on iPhone 6s on middle of screen while in case. It just wont react well on press, icon start to jiggle instead 3D touch reacting. Cases I tried was original Apple silicone case and some cheap Chinese one. Interestingly enough third case that I tried in some random shop didn't exhibit same issue. Brought phone in service shop and they never saw anything like that. Is anybody familiar with that problem?

Sounds like something wrong with the display. I’ve never had an issue with force touch on my 6s for two years or my X for the last year.. Take it to Apple and have them check the phone out. You also may try to reduce the pressure it takes to trigger force touch in settings..
