I acquired the Casemate 3G iPhone case and have been in love with it ever since, however they do not make a 2G case specifically for the 2G so I decided to use it on my 2G for a couple months and give a review.

First, it fits both phones very well. It's a little more snug on the 3G, and a little less snug on the 2G, but no fitment issues with either.

The case comes in black or silver and you can find these at Casemate for $49.95 http://www.case-mate.com/phones/apple3G/carbonfiberiphone3Gcases

This rare leather has only been used in high end aftermarket cars (e.g. Techart Porsche) and very high end cell phones (Vertu). We at Case-mate worked closely with our tanneries to develop this very special leather for our customers. Our exclusive Carbon Fiber leather is wrapped around an impact resistant molded shell for the ultimate in protection and style. Screen protection is also included with these iPhone cases.

Rare, luxurious Carbon Fiber leather
Impact resistant molded shell precision designed iPhone case
Precise cutouts for full access to controls

I've experienced no wear over a 3 month period of the case use. No signs of use. It seems to be a very tough finish. The top is a tad bit exposed, but that's the price to pay for stylishness I suppose.

I'll let the pics do the talking from here. Some of my phone with the case off to show the protection it's given me, and some with it on for fitment.

As always, click to show full size.
