cases for iphone 4s

i got the otter box defender its tearing up stretched out chipped at the bottom so the charging cover wouldnt stay shut so i cut it off where charging port is. and yet my phone is still in good shape.

i am thinking about changing cases got a couple of questions must look nice and protect the phone when dropping from about 4ft maybe (i am 5'7" so about half of my chest to the concrete/tile floor

here are my options

Have you emailed otterbox about the issues ? My wife has had otterbox for a few years now on the different phones she has had and shes never had issues getting replacements, shes had issues about 2-3 times and they always sent a replacement (just had her ship her old one back), she had a receipt of course.

Wow, isn't the Tank one over doing it a little bit though? I can imagine that one would give awesome protection though. With protection cases, its all about the physics of the drop, ie, how much the case can spread out the deceleration of impact so the phone doesn't go from 100 to 0 in an instant. I can imagine the Tank case can do that really well though because of the sheer distance the case adds to the perimeter of the phone.

You might want to consider the www.lifeproof.com case too, its a sealed unit so you don't have to worry about getting a screen protector.

I have emailed them and told them what I put it through and what I did since the sides werent sticking to the iPhone so I cut them and I told them that about why it looked like that.

My friend did give me his old otter Box not camo but it works

Edit I am going to wait until otter box comes out with there version of life proof case
