Hello all,

A couple of days ago I bought a new iphone se. I know, it's the cheapest iphone around but still an investment for me and, for what it's worth, I am in Europe and I bought an unlocked version. I've never used any kind of additional cases/sleeves/screen protectors for my previous phones (non-iphones). They never got scratches (maybe minor ones, due to normal use) and never experienced drops.

Should I invest in some kind of protection for my iphone?
I like the official Apple leather case, but that only covers the back and sides of the phone. The screen, which is by far the most delicate part (is this true?, or the edges are actually the more delicate?), is left unprotected. I would buy it to protect the body of the phone and, more importantly, to improve grip. By the way, does the apple leather case actually improve grip?

The idea would be to complement the leather case which (in my mind) should serve the purpose of avoiding drops when the phone is in use with a felt or neoprene sleeve which would provide protection (screen included) when the phone is not in use?
Would it be better to ditch the sleeve idea and go with a leather case / tampered screen combo? Or maybe I should just get a sleeve? I am not too keen on the idea of getting a tampered screen but I am open to suggestions.

What strategy do you use and why did you adopt it?
