If you look at the description the car is actually pretty good econo wise. It can turn off some of its cylinders when not in use and can also go into pure electric mode for city driving. I imagine we will see some of this tech in the future for GM
 
EWW, and if you can afford that car you can do it without cash for clunkers. The Hemi also can deactivate cylinders.
