My 2017 iMac is running Mojave (10.4.6). I've held off on Catalina (10.5) because GarageBand '11 / 6.0.5 is no longer supported. And I have a ton of stuff I'd like to keep.
I haven't used the latest version of GarageBand (10.3) but the last I heard it actually lacks some features GB11 has (while offering other newer features). Among them is less control over software instrument settings and effects - but not sure if that's still correct.
Questions...
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Questions...
- Can GB 10.3.4 (current version) coexist on my iMac (running Mojave) with GB 6.0.5?
- Will I be able to open older GB files in the current version to test and compare? (If so, I'm pretty sure I'd want to open copies of those files so originals are not overwritten by changes made in the newer version.)
- Where can I find a good article or video comparing the two? I haven't had much luck here, probably because GB'11 is relatively ancient now.
- I also have the latest version of Logic - but I don't quite understand it. I'm so accustomed to GB and haven't quite figured out enough of Logic to make it 'co-operate' with me. Suggestions welcome here.
