Hi

I have my new Mac Pro with 12C/96GB/1TB/Vega II 32. Mac OS 10.15.3

Everything works great. Beyond expectations at times. The issue I am facing is that on its own Lightroom and Photoshop work super good. When I launch FCP X to edit a project when Lightroom is running, system begins to slow down. Nothing is being exported, just FCP X open with a project. No background renders... And this happens after like 10-15 mins of FCP X being open. Even quitting FCP doesn't help. Only a reboot fixes speed.

I made sure to check system usage

CPU - around 10-12%
RAM - 88GB used out of 96. No Pagefile use yet
No unwanted disk activity

I believe that FCP X does something to the system or its Mac OS Crapalina that doesn't handle FCP X well. Like an unaccounted memory leak or something else. idk. Cant figure this out.

The only app running in the background is Backblaze using 10-20% cpu and backing up my files. But that goes on even after a reboot and doesn't hit performance at all. Its only FCP that kills the system so to speak.

I have tried clearing the FCP prefs and cache. did not help.

Even switching apps becomes super slow.

Also to note, while on 10.15.2, I do not remember experiencing this. I maybe wrong but I just don't remember.

Has anyone found this issue and a resolution?

Thanks
