Hello there
I have Mojave running on a 2011 iMac and want to upgrade to Catalina but I'm stuck.
Because the system is unsupported i must use the Dosdudes Catalina Patcher the same way I did when I installed Mojave.
However something is wrong...the installation fails with an unknown error in the first state preparing the installation.
At one point I got to the second state somehow but that also failed and now the original Mojave install is damaged.
Before attempting the upgrade the system was suddenly behaving kind of weird, not recognizing the audio devices among other things.
But since everything works in Windows Bootcamp I assume this is just a software issue that an upgrade might take care of.
The failed installation I suspect is caused by a faulty flash drive....I can't build a new one the usual way since MacOS won't boot.
Is there a way to create the Catalina Patcher flash drive from Windows?
Any other suggestions?
Cheers, Mikkel
