Catalina - Very slow boot time

Hey guys, i am using a Retina macbook pro 2012 15" and after updating to Catalina the boot time is very slow compared to any other OS i have used with this machine, that is, every single MACOS release. Where before the boot time ranged from a mere 10 seconds to 25 seconds for Mojave, now with Catalina it is up to 1 minute long to boot the machine. Anyone got any tips on how to improve this? The difference between this and Mojave is really noticeable.
