iPod touch Categories app, need help

I opening Categories app>>clicking the ADD button and entering the name of category>>choosing icon wich I want to use for category>>I add in this category app's wich I want to be in this category, but they don't apear there. And also my created category don't apear on "desktop". What I must to do?
