Cave Story Broken Again?

I tried to play Cave Story today, and it's not working. I searched and found that it wasn't working right awhile ago for other people, but it always worked for me. Now the game won't even start up and I downloaded it again, downloaded some of the custom patches in the forums and everything, so it must be because of some update to the OS. Does anyone know what could've happened? I'm running Tiger 10.4.11. I really like this game, so it would be awesome if someone could help me out.
