that was a thought I had been considering as well. seems like changes are coming to that offer. thanksMay also be related to the fact that CBS All Access is becoming Paramount+ in March... the rumor is, the sub fee is likely going up at that time as well.
I am using family sharing. When I try to resubscribe to the bundle I am only offered the full price ~21. I don't see the offer listed anymore on Apple TV +
I tried calling apple and they really weren't helpful and just said the offer must have expired.
Thanks for your suggestions btw!
I am the one that subscribed to the bundle and the one that started the family sharing. Do you happen to see the bundle still?Which member of your family is subscribed to the Apple bundle? If it isn’t you, that may be the reason you don’t see the CBS/Showtime bundle.
BTW, I have not read any rumors that the sub fee for Paramount+ will be going up.
Thanks for confirming. I do wonder what will be done with current subscribers, maybe they will be notified that the bundle is no longer offered once the rebrand is live next month?100% no longer offered. I looked everywhere in the Apple TV app and it shows CBS for $9.99 and Showtime at $10.99. I think it ended on Feb 1 because that was last time I seen it advertised in the app. And I was just going to jump on it also before the Paramount + rebrand. They got us good... Must be going to be a price increase or maybe new bundle after the rebrand. I believe Paramount + is suppose to have Showtime included along with the other ViacomCBS channels.
I have the bundle and saw an "ad" last night that said "you'll have full access to Paramount+ via your existing Apple TV+ subscription". I have seen no indication that the bundle is discontinued for existing subscribers. Kind of happy that I got in on the deal. Thanks for confirming. I still don't see them continuing the deal past a few months or so. lets see what happens once the new service launches and prices are announcedI have the bundle and saw an "ad" last night that said "you'll have full access to Paramount+ via your existing Apple TV+ subscription". I've heard this also from various places that Paramount + will not be apart of Apple TV Channels (at launch anyway)... This was also done when HBO Now became HBO Max, they left Apple TV Channels...I think there’s a lot of conflicting info being shared by Apple/CBS as I have heard that there will be no paramount+ through the TV app. Hopefully it will be cleared up soon
Right, and that’s why I’m doubtful the bundle will continue on for all users.I've heard this also from various places that Paramount + will not be apart of Apple TV Channels (at launch anyway)... This was also done when HBO Now became HBO Max, they left Apple TV Channels...
Interesting. However the ad didn’t really clear up if the bundle will still be available. It only mentions that the cbs all access subscription ($9.99 /month without showtime) will be moved over to paramount+We already know that existing Apple TV channel subscribers will get access to Paramount+ "without doing a thing". Here's the "ad" that current channel subscribers see:
Interestingly I saw a slightly different version that said "Apple TV+ subscription" instead of "Apple TV channel subscription" (probably because the CBS/Showtime bundle requires TV+). I take it as a sign that the bundle will continue for existing subscribers.
That's why I mentioned that I (as a bundle subscriber) saw a slightly different ad. I'm fairly certain that it'll stick around for now. Of course it's possible that it'll be discontinued at a later date.Interesting. However the ad didn’t really clear up if the bundle will still be available. That's the crucial question, if the CBSAA/Showtime bundle is continued for existing subs, how long will it be continued? Given that the Paramount+ yearly sub discounted offer expires on March 4th it would certainly be nice to know what Apple's pricing plan is before that date.I still don't see them continuing the deal past a few months or so. lets see what happens once the new service launches and prices are announced
