i love how cbs and espn are providing live tv streams for all college games so i can watch them online as i dont have a tv.

ah the marvels of technology and i now go back to watching my jayhawks!

who else enjoys this new feature for march madness?

Yeah. It's pretty cool. The only problem is that the live stream doesn't work on my MBP with Safari. Any suggestions?

Im pretty sure that the NCAA is the one forcing them to provide the streams.

so not cool. i was hoping it to be implemented for baseball and nba games and such
Thats not gonna happen, MLB wants people to pay for their streams. They even force radio stations to block the internet radio streams during games.

The NCAA owns the rights to all the games. CBS holds the broadcast rights to the mens and their website is in charge of the streams. ESPN holds the rights to the women's and ESPN360 is in charge of the streams. They are both under contract with the NCAA to provide the streams.

I'm kind of curious as to how with ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, Fox, NBC, ABC, and CBS all out there, why is it that only one channel is showing the games? That's what pisses me off, we have an information superhighway 50 lanes wide and only one is open to traffic.
