Hello, I have a Mac Book Pro currently running 10.6.8 OS and I have been experiencing several problems with burning media discs (CD's DVD's). The only way to get a CD to burn properly now (without medium write error) is to drop the speed down to 2x... and that is now hit or miss. Is it possible to replace the burn device inside the lap top or should I look into cleaning something and if so ... how?
). I looked up the burner info and it says :HL-DT-ST DVDRW GWA4080MA...
Can you tell I'm not a techie? lol... anyways. Its a late 2006- early 2007 version of the mac book pro and I dont want to put it out to pasture yet... also I am searching for a new battery for my long dear friend... any help in that arena would be appreciated too.
Thanks for reading, (please help)....
