I have an old IIVX with an Apple CD 300i Drive and I want to burn a CD of some old software to put on it. I have tried burning from an iMac running 8.6 and Toast 4.4 and a Powermac with OS 10.2 and Toast 6. When I burn it and try to put it into the IIVX, it goes in, makes some noises and spits it back out. I checked the little button in toast that says HFS format for < 8.1 support. But it still won't work. Is there a way I can make it work?

What happens if you burn straight from the Finder?

BTW, posting several times won't speed anything up

Older CD drives generally won't read burned disks. The IIVX being 10-11 years old I'd bet that's the case. Does it read other disks?

I actually figured it out. I was trying to burn with a CDRW and that didnt work, but burning a CDR did.
