CD Burning

Why does my MacBook take soooo long to burn a CD? Currently it is taking 5 mins to burn a 6min song. Any ideas? Iain

Need a bit more information.

What are you using to burn the CD? What speed are you burning the CD at? Do you have anything else running in the background which may have prevented the CD from burning or "closing" properly and in a sense your burn has hung?

you are not alone,i think it took me around 10 mins burning a 10 min's movie...I used http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/

I'm just using the regular burning app from iTunes. It burns fine, doesn't hung up, as far as I can tell. Just takes a long time. Would buying Toast help, do you think? Thank you for responding, Iain
