CD copying -newbie question

I'm a bit embarrassed asking this, but how do I copy a CD without having to import it into itunes first? Thanks!

You can use an application called Burn, it's very simple and straight forward.

Do I have to use an application? Theres no way to just put a CD in and click copy then remove that CD and put a blank one in?

you can, but it won't play in a CD player.

If you're concerned about quality, go to iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Importing, and import using either AIFF Encoder or Apple Lossless Encoder. Both formats loose no quality in importing, which means the burnt CD will be exactly the same as the original
