I'm pretty sure I know the answer to my own question but here we go.
I got two pennies stuck in my macbook, they were bouncing around for a month or two, no idea what it was, just thought it was the laser being loose, never tried to use the actual drive.. until now.. There's no noise, no eject, it won't even accept a disc, it bounces back. I'm guessing I just have to take it in.. any other suggestions other than my conclusion??

I saw one sticking out and I was like, ":O" so I took them out but.. ya not the problem anymore
