I just got my macbook on friday and the only thing that seems odd is the cd drive:

When i turn the macbook on the drive makes a noise. When i wake it up from sleep mode it also makes the noise.

Playing cd's and dvd's is fine. However when i put a cd in the drive its really rough and loud as if the drive was crushing the cd or something.

i dunno if this is normal and im just being anal but can someone comment on this?

All normal. When I switched form PC to Mac I thought it was really weird to at first.

Mine did that a few times, but 99% of the time my previous blackbook or this new 2.4 macbook I got doesn't do that.
