Hello all,
I hope you all don't think I'm imagining this, but the noise my MBP's CD drive makes when waking up from a sleep state* seems noticeably lower in pitch / slower than it used to be. In fact, I found an audio file on apple's support site with a recording of the CD wake up sound (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1723?viewlocale=en_US), and this is what my drive used to sound like.
It was a pretty sudden (and noticeable) shift, but my drive still reads CDs normally. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried that I have a CD drive that's on its way out?
Thanks!
