I have a top spec aluminum MacBook that well... can't burn CDs or DVDs!

x80020063 is the error code I get upon verification, I have tried several different types of media and none works. I am going to be taking my MacBook to the local Genius Bar in Kingston on Monday but I was wondering if you'll think they'll just replace the machine as they most likely will have to send it off (and they will just take the RAM from my current machine as well as the hard drive as it is a simple job)?

I need my MacBook as it is part of my job so it isn't really an option for Apple to keep it.

Whole unit replacements are very rare for computer systems unless its had 3+ major repairs, i.e. logic board, hard drive, optical drive in the last year. The service provider or store may have a temporary loaner system if its a business critical machine. Turnaround could be anywhere between 7-10 days.
