CD/DVD Drawer

My CD/DVD Drawer won't stay closed
after I insert a CD or DVD. It goes in
for a couple of seconds, then comes
back out.

Can anyone help me out?

You're going to want to tell us your computer model. This isn't exactly a software problem, either.

I have a Mac OS 10.4.11.

A disc is often automatically ejected if it is: a) unreadable (but not blank) or b) does not conform to any known disc standard (If a CD, is as thick as a DVD, it is rejected, and vice-versa, or one side is a CD and the other is DVD, then the CD side is rejected, but the DVD side works fine).
