I have a mid 2009 MBP that just recently (i think because i hardly ever use it) the CD/DVD drive failed or died?
Last time i used it (i cant remember when exactly) it worked fine but now it does not make any noise and when i stick a disk in, it goes it to the point that it would usually take it but doesnt and does not make any noise, nothing.
are there any tests to make sure it is really dead or possibly something got screwed up and now it doesnt work?
