CD/DVD Player not working!

Hello macrumor members!

So today i've noticed that my CD/DVD Player isn't working as it should... when i insert a CD or a DVD the player just ejects out after a couple seconds of reading it... However the weird thing is that after it ejects the DVD/CD the disc feels like it has oil on it...

I've left the laptop on for about 6 hours and same problem occurs. :S

Would really like feedback... I also have AppleCare is it worth the trip?

With AppleCare, sure, make an appointment and take it in
They will check the problem and fix/replace it
