I am looking for an application that would allow me to take mp3s, normalize the files, and then create a disk image from them that is mountable with OSX 10.7. I am pretty sure this can be done with Toast but I was looking for something with a smaller footprint on my ssd. Thanks in advance!

Re: CD Image Creation

If you don't mind using two separate tools, you can use Audacity for the mp3 editing and export [normalizing the file, boosting the volume if you need, etc.] and then use Disk Utility to create a CD image that you can put the files in.

I just went thru this about a week ago. I have Toast 11 and liked using the Disk Utility better. And Audacity and Disk Utility are free, so the price is right...

I've tried several options, none of which have achieved what I am looking for. I am anxious to try Disco but every time I launch the app, it crashes. I am using the latest MacBookAir with the current version of Lion. Any ideas?
