I'm not sure if this should be posted in the iMac forum or this one.

I have a CD that for some reason isn't reading.

The CD is totally clean and there's no reason why it shouldn't read in my iMac.

The CD is Mudhoney - Under a billion suns

Any idea why it is not reading and any ideas on how to get it to read?

Thanks!

What happens when you insert it? Does it try to spin up a few times and then spit it back out? I have a few CDs that behave that way in my iBook and PowerBook...the slot-loading drives can be picky about discs. I had to resort to using my old tray-loading iBook in order to rip those few CDs (less than 1% of my collection).

Do other CDs work in your mac?

Yes.

It spins up, at least that seems like that's what it is doing then it spits it out.

Sounds like I'm just SOL on this disc. :(
