I am trying to burn audio CDs on my mid-2010 Mac Mini (10.9.2) and while the disc does mount on the desktop, it fails to burn using iTunes or even burning data from Finder which says there is not enough room from Finder to burn, and iTunes claims that the disc is incompatible and to try a different brand.

I've tried all the way down to 1x, and have used Sony CD-R and Imation CD-R. These discs work fine on a friend's Windows machine.

"It just works" doesn't seem to be holding true for Mr. Cook's Apple.

I've seen that Mavericks has been failing a lot of people in this regard. Anybody know how to get it working? And no, DVDs won't cut it as I am trying to burn CDs for my car.

Thanks in advance!
