Alright..

I have a Que QPS Firewire CD-RW 8*8*32* and 10.2.1

When I insert a blank CD-R, it refuses to mount on the desktop. No disk image, nothing. All the physical connections are solid.

When I insert a normal CD, the Que drive reads it fine.

I burned a disk 2 days ago; I noticed the issue today.

Anyone have any ideas?

First of all, hitman, if I saw this thread earlier, I would have replied earlier. :)

Second, Que! probably did not provide reliable software for OS X altogether, which, in this case, has been amplified with 10.2.x.

Third, I recommend upgrading to a Lacie CD-RW. The software is one of the things you do NOT need to install, since OS X has no problem reading/writing to a majority of Lacie CD-RWs by USB or Firewire. Just burn a CD in Toast or the Finder with the LAcie drive and you're set.

Fourth, it really shouldn't matter what CD drive you plug into a port to your computer if you want to read the CD only. Certain recognizable specs are required by the OS before you can burn a CD and not just read it.
